Family Law costs
If you are attending our office to meet with one of our lawyers to discuss your family law matter, at your first meeting we will give you information about what your estimated costs are likely to be, once we have an understanding of your matter, what it involves and what course you would like to take. We will provide you with a written Costs Agreement and Disclosure Statement after your initial consultation which will set out in detail our estimate of your legal costs and how the costs are calculated.
Most of our lawyers’ professional costs are charged at an hourly rate and we have solicitors at different rates to suit your matter and your needs.
In certain circumstances our firm is willing to enter into a written agreement with you, for you to pay our professional costs when your financial dispute is resolved and you receive your settlement funds. It is however our policy that any disbursements (including Court filing fees, barrister fees and expert report/witness fees) are paid in advance.
